Carlson Gracie UK

Carlson Gracie UK is run by Carlson Gracie black belt Nelson Solari and was founded in January 2002. Nelson is the only Carlson Gracie trained black belt based in the UK - and he strives to maintain the high standard of training set by the Carlson Gracie Academy in Rio.

Carlson Gracie UK always train with the Master's teachings in mind. Instructors illustrate the importance of the Carlson Gracie style - and its advantages over other forms of Jiu-Jitsu. The style is based around fighting for a dominant position: a position that, in a real street fight, will keep you out of harms way.

The high standards at the club are maintained by the tough sparring and the superb teaching skills of Nelson. The team have proved themselves to be extremely tough competitors in the European BJJ scene, with victories in several important MMA competitions. The team have won all three major UK BJJ tournaments.
